Refund & Cancellation Policy
Last updated: June 6, 2026 · drin.run
This Refund & Cancellation Policy explains how billing, cancellations and refunds work for paid Drin plans. It forms part of, and should be read together with, our Terms of Service. By subscribing to a paid plan you agree to this policy.
In short: subscriptions are billed in advance and are non-refundable. You can cancel at any time to stop future charges, and you keep access until the end of the period you have already paid for. We make exceptions where the law requires it, for duplicate or mistaken charges, and for qualifying service-level failures.
01 Scope
This policy applies to subscription fees and any usage charges for the Drin email sending platform and APIs (the "Service"). Payments are collected by our payment provider acting as the Merchant of Record, which may appear on your statement under its own name. Refunds, where due, are issued through that same provider to your original payment method.
02 How billing works
Paid plans are billed in advance on a recurring basis — monthly or annually, depending on the term you select — and renew automatically until cancelled. Self-serve plans do not create automatic usage overages; new sends stop at the included volume until you upgrade or the period resets. All fees are stated and charged in the currency shown at checkout, exclusive of any taxes that may apply.
03 Refunds
Subscription fees are non-refundable, except as set out in section 5 or where a non-waivable law requires otherwise. Cancelling a plan does not generate a refund or credit for the remainder of a billing period that has already been paid, and we do not provide prorated refunds for partial periods or for unused sending volume.
04 Cancelling your plan
You can cancel at any time from your account's billing settings, or by emailing us. When you cancel:
- Your plan stops renewing, so you are not charged again.
- You keep access to your paid plan until the end of the billing period you have already paid for, after which the account moves to the free plan or is closed.
- No partial-period refund is due, because you retain the service you paid for until that period ends.
05 When we do refund
We will issue a refund or credit in the following cases:
- Where the law requires it. If you have a non-waivable statutory right to a refund or a cooling-off period under the consumer law that applies to you, we honour it.
- Duplicate or erroneous charges. If you were billed twice for the same period, or charged in error, we refund the difference.
- Qualifying service failures. Where an applicable service-level agreement (SLA) provides for service credits during a sustained outage or service degradation that is our fault, we apply those credits as the SLA describes.
Refunds are not available for circumstances outside our control, including deliverability outcomes determined by recipient mail servers, account suspension or termination for breach of our Terms or Acceptable Use Policy, or a change of mind after the Service has been used.
06 Sandbox
The restricted sandbox carries no charge, so there is nothing to refund. You can stop using it or close your account at any time.
07 How to request a refund
Email support@drin.run from the address on your account, with the charge date, amount and reason. We aim to review eligible requests within a few business days, and approved refunds are returned to your original payment method through our payment provider. How long it then takes to appear on your statement depends on your bank or card issuer.
08 Chargebacks
If something looks wrong with a charge, please contact us first — we can almost always resolve it faster than a formal dispute. Filing a chargeback without contacting us may lead to suspension of the account while the dispute is investigated.
09 Changes & contact
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be posted here with a new "last updated" date and apply to billing periods that begin after the change.
